Missing Cell
I lost my cell phone yesterday.
This morning, thinking that I left it somewhere in the office, I tried to call my cell phone from my work phone to see if I could hear it ringing. My aim was to expose its location as it lay hidden in a drawer, under some paper, or stuffed in a cardboard box, or kicked under a desk next to a trash can.
So I let it ring... straining to hear beyond the phone... out into my cube, out into the neighboring cubes and aisle ways. Searching for a responding muffled ring, I only heard... silence.
Until, unexpectedly, someone answered. A female voice... "Hello, this is Anton Palmer's cell phone!"

Darwin
As an old man with a large white flowing beard, isn't it uncanny how Charles Darwin looks like the popular vision of God (or Santa Claus). However, instead of being suspended in the clouds (or driven by eigth tiny reindeer), Darwin is firmly grounded and propped up by a solid trunk covered in vines, silently peering out from the shadow of his brimmed hat.

Animals and Technology
Go Elvis the Robocat! Even CATs can benefit from the fruits of technology. On the other hand, Convincing European farm animals to vlog can be a futile endeavour.
Condo Purchase
I'm poised to begin moving into a condo that I'm close to closing a purchase on. Actually I have two more weeks to go before the Escrow paper signing fun begins. According to my Loan Officer, Closing at the end of the month was strategically at my financial advantage in order to avoid a higher interest on the loan. So I sit and wait...
However, I'm a little bit unsettled after hearing from some condo owners and previous condo owners who have had some bad experiences. From noisy neighbors to the condo complex being sued for whatever and then having to sell it for less than the purchase in order to get out of a bad situation. I hope I didn't make a bad decision.

Home
Today I came across a letter that I wrote to my bro and sis, who were in Pakistan at the time, while I was in college:
"Dear Dawn-I-bon and Evan Bevan,
Here is a poem, some old tape mixes, and some 'goodies' (sorry, I had to try one licorice). Summer is in a month! I'll see you guys pretty soon!
Take Care and Enjoy,
Tony
HOME
Gently,
Through a window
A breeze passes
the curtain ruffles
All is abound,
Drifting upon a ceaseless ocean
Seeking a threshold
Wandering in impermanence
A bounded traveler
Of disenchanted wonder
Trusting a designed faith
Facing a mystic heaven
Unsettled inquiry
"Why is the silence blank, solid and pure?
A divine divided from
The resilience of sound
An architect of Life:
Patterns of familiar uncertainty
Unlocked energy."
Enlightenment
An identity of discrimination
A goal forever unleashed
Liberty attending
Immanent
Occuring
A Vastness succumbs
An array of starry light
Each-
A flavor of pigmentation
Guiding opportunism
Alluring lighthouses
Welcoming all who are unsatiated
Into the arena of life.
